Keybank Update: Portland Jobs with Justice pulls $70,000 out of KeyBank

On March 19th, union members and JwJ activists rallied at the head branch of KeyBank in Portland, Oregon to protest KeyBank's financing of Oak Harbor Freight Lines, where Teamsters have been fighting for a fair contract for over a year. About fifty people rallied and passed out leaflets while a delegation went into the bank and met with branch manager Karin Jacobs. The delegation informed Ms. Jacobs of their intention to transfer the Jobs with Justice account to Albina Community Bank. Portland Jobs with Justice has been supporting the Teamsters during their ongoing fight against intimidation, harrasment and numerous violations of US and international labor law by Oak Harbor Freight. Jobs with Justice has over 85 member organizations and 3500 individual members. They are now in the process of asking members and member organizations to withdraw their funds from KeyBank.
